Badfinger were a rock/pop band formed in Swansea, Wales in 1965, and one of the earliest representatives of the power pop genre. During the early 1970s the band was touted as the heir apparent to The Beatles, partly because of their close working relationship with the 'Fab Four', but also because of their sound. Badfinger's meteoric rise and harrowing demise became a cautionary tale for the rock music industry.

I thought they were Brits..
take it you mean the band??
two of them died tragically... suicides.. they wrote "WIthout You" the Nielsen // Mariah Carey song... that was massive.. and is now an all time classic..
but both died in different incidents before this happened and never did see the music they created go global...
its all really weird.. a case of true life being stranger than fiction..
