One of the best Valentine's Day memories was of my husband and I at a Motel 6...

We were young and on a low budget at the time, but we wanted to do something special, so we took a big gourmet picnic basket filled with goodies: a variety of cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, pate', crackers, cheeses, salami, spicy mustard, grapes, apples, chocolate candies, sandwiches and a couple bottles of our favorite bubbly and a few candles!

From our drawers at home we took a handful of lingerie for me, and a handful of undies for him, we both gave each other a modeling show and from this we chose the best one we wanted each other to wear for the evening (me - a cute red lacy thing, and him - a cute lil' tuxedo g-string).

We took this game with us called, around the world in bed. The object of this game was, you place the playing board in an upright position, the playing board is covered with squares. Each square having a different sexual position. It came with a lil' candle and a plastic dart gun. When we shot the the plastic rubber dart from the toy gun it wouldn't stick to the board. After a few dozen tries my husband who I thought had not a creative bone in his body, grabbed the board threw it on the floor got a quarter and created a new version of the game. You toss the quarter trying for a square, if you touch the line with the quarter you drink, you win if your quarter lands on a square free and clear without touching any lines.

We still talk about that one and oh do we laugh. We had so much fun and laughed so hard. It was one of the funnest and most romantic times we've ever shared!

Nothing comes to mind. It's just another day.

Incidentally, if you put comments like "Winner gets 10 points" or whatever, you can get a violation notice for points-gaming. I have a strict no-snitchin' policy, and wouldn't tell anyway, but I wanted to give you a heads up to avoid that.

I hope you get some romantic answers, btw.

I'm from Ohio too and my fiance and I got snowed in too. It was the perfect Valentines Day for us because we just moved in together and we just got to be in "our home" for the entire day.

We cooked our first dinner in our new kitchen, lit candles and just hung out with a good bottle of wine. It was low key, but really made it feel like we are starting to be a family. It really made our new house feel like home and I couldn't ask for a better Valentine's Day present!

the simple things that child make you, and the things that others buy you , even if it just cost 5 cents, cause you at least know that you were thought about, and that is a great feeling.

by the way i do not care about the best answer thing i just noticed up there.
