He played for the New York Giants. He wore #4. He played for them from 1926-1947. His number was retired in 1949. In his career, he hit .304 AVG, 511 HR, and 1860 RBI. He is #42 in The Sporting News 100 Greatest Baseball Players. He made the Hall of Fame in 1951.
