Of the managers or supervisors you've had, what were some of the worst managerial qualities they had?

i used to work at the lobby lounge of this resort and the supervisor i had was a complete lazy bimbo. i heard that she had been working there for 4 years, but insists that mexican coffee uses tequila and even dismissed my corrections (it was supposed to be kahlua even the menu clearly states so) when i showed her the menu, all she could say was " sh*t!" and didnt even bother to tell the customer that she had a made a mistake.

she's forever talking about team work yet most of the time she's sitting down doing her paperwork and talking on her phone to her friends ( we are not allowed to use handphones while working) leaving the rest of us to do everything else. since she's the one who's arranging the schedule, she always takes off days on sundays which is one of the busiest day. on my first day, i noticed that the sugar syrup smelled funny, the glasses had lipstick marks and the coffee machine wasnt even properly cleaned and i've personally seen the way she cleans the coffee machine.

after meeting her, it it changed my mind about foreigners with little qualifications ( i have a higher qualification than my supervisor) who work in my country. the moment they get promoted, they think they are at the top of the social hierachy and slacks on the job.

Well thankfully my worst one is from my teenage years. He basically drew up two different schedules. One had me working at certain times and another had me at other times. I only saw the first one, then he switched it. He told everyone I didn't show up for 3 shifts and fired me. I really didn't care, LOL.

When I was 14 I worked at McD's for a real witch that would scream and insult me in fornt of customers. After 3 weeks I whipped a Big Mac at her (nailed right smack in the gob) and walked out. She actually called the cops and tried to have me charged with assault. And even the cop who came to my house said, "You know what kid, if someone called my daughter a useless c*nt I'd EXPECT her to throw something!" (That's wot the manager called me).

i hate mangagers who don't work they think there job is all admistrative. It is not you still are part of team and still have to do the same things i do plus the adminstrative things. I work in an office now but I worked in retail for six years and i had a manager that took three days to make the schedule and never came out to help customers, never did markdowns. the manger after him did the schedule in one day and still came out and worked her butt off. That is what you are supposed to do.
