try powering down your home hub for about 30 seconds.

go to control panel and run the wireless set-up feature and try and connect through that.

get ccleaner free google for it. run it and the remove your drivers for the home hub with control panel>add remove programs.

open ccleaner again and this time click on issues to remove any bad registery files left over from the home hub settings the try and re-install the home hub again.

if you still have the same problem contact BT and tell them you have a faulty hub and they better send you a new one.

its your lucky day,im a bt home hub user and have used it since it first came out
all you need to know at this time is your w.e.p (wireless encryption protocol) key,you will find this in the grey box on the back of the hub
as your laptop has to be wireless enabled for you to go wireless ,you should have either a wi-fi configuration program installed on your laptop or a disk if you are using a external usb wireless device
whichever you have ,you need to run one of these and select the appropriate options for your device, then when asked for the wep key enter the key into the alloted box
you could allways use the default wireless connection wizard in control panel, this is dead easy to use,and should easy get you connected to your hub, your lucky really as the bt home hub is miles easier to use than a a.o.l wireless router for example, thats impossible to configure
bt should be able to send you a replacement disk at no cost, ive had to get a replacement before and it took about 4 days to come
i shall check the file size of the actual disk and if i can i will send the files as attachments if you would like,i ean send the whole bt installation disk to you in parts via e-mail attachment
good luck
