"Acting" in professional wrestling only goes as far as acting like they're mad at one another. Beyond that, it's not acting anymore.
There are many aspects of training for professional wrestling, from cardio and strength training to the holds and moves that make up the wrestlers' reportoire.
And then there's the "bump" - the professional term for when a wrestler on the receiving end of a move hits the canvas (floor, table, etc.) A body hitting the ring takes the same punishment that it would receive in a car crash at 20 mph. Multiply that by the number of times the wrestlers take a fall.
People tell me all the time that wrestling is "fake". I challenge them to step into the ring for an "introductory" training session, then I ask them how "fake" it feels afterwards. A few days later I ask them again. Almost always the answer involves something about "a new respect" for it and "I'm so sore I can't move".
All I can say is, if you think it's fake, try it.

Its not acting, its a simulated athletic competition. Just because the outcome is predetermined, doesn't mean that they aren't out there sweating and breathing hard. Its a work out to do half the things they do in the ring. They do this live, in front of an audience with no stunt doubles. In film and tv, they stop and go every punch an kick along the way. They get many tries to make it perfect. Pro Wrestlers have to do it right the first time and then go right into the next thing. That's why they have to be in top physical condition and why they train to perform their moves over and over again.

regardless ur opinion on the storylines and the scripted results the in ring action is real. the falls, bumps etc....that is a skill that someone with proper training has to acquire. one bad move and u could be paralyzed or have ur neck broken. just ask stone cold. when taker threw foley off the top in the hell in the cell match, though that was planned...i don't think any regular person wouldve known how to take a bump like that...most good wrestlers do. but i don't think most wrestlers would've risked being thrown off a cage like that.
the acting and cutting some of the promos some of the wrestlers do may need work, but the punishment in the ring is anything but acting.

Smart, heres why:
The wrestlers have to actually know how to wrestle to fake it, you know like there are some wrestling moves that need training to do to avoid injury, they do get injured even after training. They also need to be fit, because the use alot of enery during the match and get fatigued. They also need to have talent so people dont get bored so they practice, train, entertainment it is.

The most important part of wrestling is learning how to do it without getting hurt! That's what they teach at the wrestling schools.

wrestling is not really fake they do alot of real moves and they do actually get hurt, thats why they need to train so they can take the pain. the fake thing about wrestling is the stories they make and who wins and who loses. wrestling is gay anyways but i hope i helped u wit my answer.

they train because the most of the things they do in the ring (and outside the ring) are risky, they're trained how to fall how to land how to throw a punch, how not to leave they're hands out to get stepped on, how to take a punch everything they do can be if done incorrectly dangerous. look at moves that have gone wrong people have broken they're necks, injured they're backs, broken wrists etc.
This is why we're told to not try this at home!
