your browser could be missing a plug in like direct x ,have you got antivirus some times they don't allow content to be shown

Not really sure about your question--if you are talking about pictures being viewed on the internet you could try deleting your temporary internet files--open IE, click tools and under temporary internet files click delete files.
If not then open up control panel/folder/file types and scroll down to all the .jpg extensions--then highlight that and click restore.

You could try clicking on tools . Internet options. then click the advanced tab and scroll down about halfway and tick the show pictures box.

... hope this is right, if the picture are from an on-line source, it'll be your security soft ware stopping them coming through incase of virus' etc

go to the java website and see if there is an update , i think the current version is 5.011.
