John Howard and George Bush already have a special relationship we all know that over here but seriously USA and Aus will always be allies and friends we have a lot in common,as do the UK and Aus because we are part of the Commonwealth which is also a special relationship. We like to sledge both countries for a bit of fun but we really are 3 peas in a pod and we will always back each other up in time of crisis

Ha, ha, ha the Aussies are no more into the pack of lies that led to a war in Iraq than the Brits, or most of Americans. The special relationship belongs to the people, and has been soured by the likes of Bush and Blair. They are the flies in the soup.

Only a tiny minority of vocal idiots in the UK are anti the U.S. and vice versa.
As with friends, we as nations sometimes disagree but we are far closer to the Americans in lifestyle, culture and language than we will ever be to the Europeans.
Neither nation is without criticism particularly under the Bush/Blair regimes, surely the two biggest democratic bungles of all time.
However our nations will survive these two fools.

There is alot of anti-American sentiment (and bigotry) in these rooms. Why? Everybody in America knows that Dick Cheney and George Bush stole the elections. Most U.S. citizens know it and are going to make sure it doesn't happen again; hence, the Democratic outcome of last November's elections and the 2008 elections as well. =)
Most U.S. citizens are against the Iraq war. Many believed the propaganda before it started, but have smartened up, and are holding anti-war rallies now, trying to get all the troops out of there.
More people than not in the U.S. are related to Brits, love Britain and the British people. Are you blaming us for what the wealthiest of the wealthy have done to us? We're not blaming you for what your government is doing to you.
Instead of this North American Alliance crap which will mutate into the American Alliance, including Central and South America, that the wealthy are shoving down our throats, as they shoved the EU down British throats, I wish we could have a Canada, United States, Great Britain and Australia Alliance. We have much more in common, namely our roots, our languages. \0/

There never was a special relationship between the U.K & U.S.A. if America had any "special relationship" with a European country that country was the old West Germany and not the U.K.

Blair knows if he pulls out, America could become an enemy and that ain't good in any ones eyes....
Were in too deep now to pull out...
i Doubt that the Australians are a dumb as were are to get
involved with a bully like America

Foreign policy is not about 'special relationships' or 'best buddies' or 'we're-just-good-friends'. To think it is about 'special relationships' is sheer sentimentality (something the reptilian right is surprisingly good at). Foreign policy is about power, and it is about self-interest. States act in their own interests, not out of high-minded ideals or warm, cozy friendships. End of story.

To further its aims of Global dominance, America will have special relations with North Korea and Iran if it helps. I just feel sorry for the mugs who fall for that scam. LOOK at us in Britain. We are now (thanks to the US) in relationship with desperate Taliban in the Tora Bora mountains and Al Qaeda thugs in Basra with no hope of extricating our troops. Good luck to the Aussies. They will open a new front for them in Indonesia or somewhere soon.
