Get a lot of exercise during the day. Don't eat after 6 pm. Put on some relaxing music to help you go to sleep. Bring a book to your grandma's house so that you can read it before bed time Dress warm when you go to bed. You will feel more comfortable that way. A hot shower or a bubble bath helps me fall asleep too.

I always found reading worked or playing soft music...but I usually have the TV on very low. I don't really know what being said it's just a low sound and I never have it completely dark so I use a small night light. The TV blocks out the night noises and creaks and the night light gives me a slight glow should I wake up.If you're staying at your Grandma's house I suggest reading, get cozy in bed with a book and the next thing you know it will be morning (I hope)

When you decide to go to sleep make sure all the lights are off. Close your eyes and take deep steady breaths. Usually that will calm you down enough to fall asleep. You could also count backwards from a hundred in your head. Get some tylonol p.m. too. That stuff works wonders.

If you have a radio, take it with you and listen to it and let yourself go to sleep. It is hard for me to sleep anywhere but my own bed. I have a little bedside radio that plays soft sounds, like waves, waterfalls, rain. When I can't sleep, I turn that on. Some people take a 25 mg Benadryl to get to sleep but I am not suggesting that, just that it is an antihistamine and antihistamines tend to make you drowsy.
Drink a glass of milk before going to bed, that always helps.

stare at a spot on the wall that looks differnt then the rest of the all, aka a paint mark. then while stareing at it count backwards from one-hundrad by seven. this takes just enough brain power so ur mind dosn't wander but you can still fall asleep. if you get through one hundrad start at one fifty then two seventy five.
don't take sleeping medication, after uve taken them for a wile u cant fall aslep w/ out them

the experts say, do not read and especially watch TV in bed. Once you get tired, go to sleep, turn off the lights and try to clear you head of any and all thoughts. That or drink copious amounts of alcohol.
