where is the most recent data on populations for individual cities, and i want something more recent than 2000

i would like to know if there is one out there as recent as 2005 or 2006

The census reports on populations every year using estimates for births, deaths and net migration, based on Census 2000 population counts, It come out in March for the previous year.
