My miniblinds are filthy, I admit it. In the spring I will take them out and spray them off with a hose or something. I just don't know what to do to make them look better. Or I guess, I don't want to take the time to clean each slat, nor the expense to take them to a professional cleaner.

During the week my house is tidy
after kids go to school all beds are made
dishes washed
toilet cleaned
do a bit of dusting and hoover just the carpets and flooring in toilet and kitchen
kids come home after school and it's turned upside down
At the weekend the house doesn't get touched to busy working and doing other things
windows washed once a month by a window cleaner who is rubbish but i can't reach.
The landing stairs could do with a brush and a wash but it's someone elses turn this week.
The extractor above my cooker has a lot of dust on it might clean it tomorrow.

I used to clean student accomodation so although my place is grubby it'll never be that bad. Lets face it, lifes too short.
The kitchen and bathroom are clean. I keep it basically tidy and hoover a couple of times a week. Then totally spring clean about 4 times a year. But it depends how many people live in your house as well!
My front door is covered in grit, there are massive dust bunnies under the sofa and telly, and my lad got tangled up in a cobweb yesterday and screamed like Ned Flanders, so its time for a spring clean.

You should clean to live not live to clean. I have far more interesting and important things to do with my time - even if its curling up with a good book or writing a letter than to spend all day cleaning.
I work hard outside the home so when I come home, its 'me' time. I have a policy, I go for better, not perfect because I'll never achieve perfect so I'll never be satisfied. However, if I tidy one thing away and put it where it belongs, it's better already so I can be happy with that.
I don't go all out, I potter and I still manage to have a reasonably clean and tidy home.
If all else fails, watch How Clean Is Your House ... it certainly makes me feel better about myself (on the other hand, I avoid Cleanoholics like the plague)

i live with my husband and we are both shockily tidy and clean, even my 2 daughters hate mess, and smells. We have calmed down a bit since the kids but its always spotless, i hate clutter.
We dont actually spend all that long in cleaning , but just constantly throught the day im picking this up or hoovering there. Its just a way of life for us.
I wouldnt be able to live ina messy dirty house it be my idea of hell, sad maybe, but i like the way my house is.

My house is neat and looks clean but I know it's not. I rarely clean the windows, baseboards or ceiling fans. I have a cleaning person every other week. In between, I just keep things straightened. All of my friends think my house is clean but I know better. I hate cleaning so I do as little as possible!

Reasonably clean. We have a maid that comes over every other week. Honestly, it is clean enough. To spend any more time on it than we do would border on the obsessive / compulsive. Having said that I don't like clutter. A little dust doesn't bother me; that newspaper that somebody left in the middle of the living room floor does.

My house is a tip because I have a 7 month old baby and my boyfriend is quite lazy! I just about manage to keep on top of things but it never seems to get any better (it just doesn't get worse!).'
I need more storage space - desperately!
