suppose that good rookies like ovechkin crosby malkin , can get up to 4 millions each..and It'll be even more higher for them as soon as they'll sign a new contract..so If you choose a rookie= 4 millions and the rest check out the salaries to complete a best line..forget the goalie... I dont care .there's so much good goalies out there..dont forget it's with the actual rosters!

It's not really that challenging. Good young players like Crosby-Malkin-Ovechkin that are cheap because they are on the rookie salary caps. Phaneuf- what's that?? Like 4 Million so far. Then say Pronger and UNDERPAID Brodeur for another 11 or 12 million. Heck, I still got room under the cap in case one gets injured.

Well, it's really not that challenging since Crosby and Ovechkin are both making under a million this year. Phaneuf is making under half a million, so that's a bargain. That leaves fifteen million - a practically unlimited amount to divide between a right winger and a stud defenseman. How about Marian Hossa and Chris Pronger. That's a pretty good starting five right there.

This depends alot on if this is for current players or all time greats. Mine would be Crosby, Kovalchuk (excuse the spelling), and Recchi (we all need Veteren support). Ohlund and Rafalski. Kipprosoff on the back end. That's for current.
Mario Lemieux, Gretzky, and Jagr (before he was obsessed with money). Bobby Orr and Scott Stevens on Defense and Patrick Roy in net. This is the list of greats, obviously. God, i hope this is under the limit, if it's not, then someones in debt. Hey people in computerland, do you have a couple million i can borrow.

Crosby/Lemieux/Jagr for the forwards because although jagr is over paid for what he is doing and crosby is still under 1m and lemieux wasn't even getting paid because he wanted the team to succed not his bank account. Orr/Whitney on the blue because Orr is the **** and Whitney is the **** now at 24 (in 2 days)

Defence Lidstrom and Phaneuf
Goalie Hasek--I don't care for him but he comes cheap.
Sidney Crosby Ovechkin and Daniel Briere.
I'm not sure of their salary but as cheap as Hasek is (his contract was one for one million) I should be under your cap of 17.5
