The rules of the game are simple: each of the nine blocks has to contain all the numbers 1-9 within its squares. Each number can only appear once in a row, column or box.

The difficulty lies in that each vertical nine-square column, or horizontal nine-square line across, within the larger square, must also contain the numbers 1-9, without repetition or omission.

Every puzzle has just one correct solution.

If you mean Sudoko, it is usually a three by three block grid that contains nine smaller squares per block. (This means there are 81 small squares total.) The goal is to fill each line, column and block with the numbers 1-9 without repeating the same number twice per line, column or block. If you have ever seen the ones in the newspaper the usually have some numbers already filled in, the best way to go about solving the puzzle is to start with the block with the most numbers and use process of elimination to get the rest. I hope this is what you were meaning, and I hope it helps!

um in soduko there arent just 8 boxes, there are 9 sections of 9 boxes each. if you just mistyped it and you have the correct soduko format then i would sugest soduko.com for a complete explanation of the rules and how to play the game, if you enjoy it you can also get free puzzles to play for fun there.

you have to figure out where the numbers 1-how many you got go, but you cant have the same number in the same row. for example the one square has 4 squares in it you have to fill in those squares 1-4 so then the next big square that has 4 squares in it thats right next to the first square cant have the same number. they go in rows and squares. that probably made no sense. just go to google and type in sudoko answers.
