It is a dice game.
Here is how my group plays it.
We have 4 tables with people at each table. Whoever is sitting across from you is your partner for that round. Round 1 you are rolling for 1s. You roll 3 dice. If you get 1 then you give yourself 1 point. If you roll all 1s, then that is called a bunco. We have a "head table" that plays to 21, so we know when to stop each round. If you are at the head table, a bunco would win. At all other tables a bunco is worth 5 points and you keep rolling. You and your partner share points. We have score cards with a space for # of buncos rolled and only the person who rolled the bunco gets to put a tally here. At the head table if you win you stay and if you lose you move to another table. At the other tables, if you win you move and if you lose you stay. You cannot be partners more than once in a row with someone, but you may be partners again. Round 2 you would roll for 2s; round 3 for 3s and so on - up to 6s. We play 4 games with 6 rounds each. If you roll 3 of any other # than the one your on, we call that a boobie and you get 5 points and do not get to roll again.

Everyone pays $5.00 to play.
We play once a month and each of us in the group takes turns hosting.
We divide the money with the most wins, losses, and buncos rolled.
Then we have the hostess provide a $5.00 door prize. We let everyone who did not win one of the prize pots put their name in this drawing.

It's a parlour game. My mom plays it. Here's an article.
