My dad got one of these letters and when we looked into it it turned out to be a scam. I also got something of the same sort only in an email saying i had won 630,000 pounds in an email lottery from UK National Lottery, again when i looked into it i found that it was a scam too. Maybe some of these are legit but be careful when you go do anything to claim because you could end up being out of pocket and not loaded!!

It's a scam! Whatever you do, don't send any personal info to these people because they will access your bank account, pretending to be you and you will start getting bills for things you never bought! Even if it is a real lottery (which it probably isn't...do you remember buying a lottery ticket?) it's better to be safe than sorry!

I keep getting e-mails, twice a week, from different people. Ranging from lottery wins. Once i had one, from a Sergeant in Iraq, saying if i had an empty bank account, cause he'd found 1/2 million. I feel sorry for people, who are naive, to fall for it.

It's a scam. It's not a real cheque. You will take it to the bank and hey the Police will be waiting for you.

If you can't pay it straight into your bank account without giving the company any of your details, money or time then it is a con.

Tell you what, why not take it into your bank, Monday morning, & if they give you the money, it's real. If they fall about laughing, then you'll have your answer.
