Body Waste and Toilet paper, should be the only thing you put down the toilet. Unless, that is, you have a savings account set aside for the plumber.

We have had the problem in the past of tree roots growing into the sewer line. Then anything you flush could catch on the root and cause an expensive clog. It is safer to use the trash can.

Put food trash in your trash bag or down the garbage disposal, that grinds it up.

I keep an empty can in the freezer and pour any little bit of grease I have from cooking in it, when it gets full, I drop it in the trash bag for disposal. Grease will coat the sewer line and shrink the size of it causing problems.

NEVER EVER PUT FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCTS DOWN ANY DRAIN, YOURS OR ANYONE ELSES. THEY DO NOT BREAK DOWN AND WILL DEFINITELY CAUSE A CLOG.

remember what a toilet is made for - human waste. Anything else, throw it in the garbage

food leftovers? eeeeew. only if its in vomit. sheesh. stick with turds, toilet paper and the occassional tampon. tree roots may be the source of why there may be blockages. anything that won't break up from the rush of water out the toilets and thru the pipes is a potential hazzard for blockages.
