if your just starting to drum, you don't need the best brand. a cheap brand will do until you know how to play them well enough. then you could sell the cheap set, and get a good brand like Tama, yamaha, pearl, mapex, sonar, dw, ddrum...etc.

Pearl Export all the way. THE best entry level kit with a very professional sound. This was the first kit I had when they came out in the early 90's and I loved it. It sounded amazing and I believe has even improved since then. I only buy Peal stuff now...except kick pedals...Tama Iron Cobra's baby yeah!!
