O.k. I need help with this question !?

Question

So I am ttc and my period is due today. NO period. So I went down and bought a clear blue easy preg test. The digital kind. Is it possible that I am still pregnant but the hormone needed to detect pregnancy is just to low to produce a positive??? Normally my periods are on time and about 31 days apart. I have been tracking them and they have come on time everytime, sometimes a day sooner but never a day later. HELP

I took the test and it said negative

I took a blood test and it was inconclusive. I have to wait 48 hours and come back..... we'll see :)

It would be very normal, for it show negative right now even if you are pregnant. It really depends on how far along you are. Even though pregnancy tests say they are 99% accurate, and some say you can test as early as the first day of your missed period, If you read on them they also show that a very low percentage shows up positive on the first day of their missed period, and the percentage goes up as more time passes. I was 91/2 weeks pregnant with my first child before i found out, and I was 8 weeks before i found out with this one. I would wait about 5 more days, good luck to you!!

Did the test say it could be used on the first day of a missed period? If not, it was probably a waste of your money to take the test so soon. I know you are eager to find out, but give it a little more time. And if it was the kind that can be used this soon, yes, it could be wrong. I have known people who had two negatives before a positive. But give it about 4 or 5 days before you test again.

Your periods can be affected by lots of things. If you've changed your eating or exercising habits, or if you've been through an emotional time it can delay it or make it different. You can be pregnant, pregnancy tests can give false negatives.

Give yourself another week, and test again. If you still haven't started your period within a week, make a doctor's appointment. If there's something wrong, you need to catch it right away. If there's nothing wrong, they'll tell you the best time to test again.

Also, next time you test, do it first thing in the morning (or whenever you've woken up from your night's sleep). The urine has been in your body longer and will have a higher concentration of the birth hormone than any other time of day.

It is possible that there isn't enough hCG in your urine yet, though generally you can test the day your period is due. Some women secrete no or very low levels of hCG into the urine, and for these women a urine test may never show a positive.

I would wait a week and then test again. However if you are impatient go get a blood test done, they are more accurate.

with most test you should wait until a week after you miss your period because the HCG in your system isn't strong enough to read yet - good luck - take another test in a week and if you still don't get your period or a positive test - call your doctor - sometimes positives never show on a home pregnancy test (for some people)

When I was pregnant with my 2nd baby test came back neg, then a week later when still no period tested again and it was positve. Wait 3 or 4 days and if no period test again using first morning urine( highest concentration of prenancy hormone), if still in doubt get blood tested at doctors office/lab. Good Luck!

You could well be. When I was pregnant with my daughter the first test came back negative and I just knew I was.The same thing happened with the second .It wasnt until I done the third that it finally came back positive.I explained about this to the doctor and he said that this happens to some people.See your doctor about this and if your worried ask for a blood test as this will give you an accurate result.
