Only being allowed to answer a certain amount of questions until you reach a higher level? There's not really a "point" to these points anyway. We don't win anything.

LOL Daria, YOU aren't an addict? You have over 17,000 points! I'm on here for 2 weeks wasting time because I'm on vacation but you are on long enough to get that many points? That's pathetic.

Actually, people DO win things on Y!A. Just before Christmas, they were giving away prizes for each level. A coffee cup, a baseball cap, a bunnyhug (hoody) I believe the lower levels got stickers and magnets. So, from time to time Y!A does give out prizes.
Each level got a different prize. The only way that you could claim it, though, was if you lived in the states. I think I would have qualified for the baseball cap. I have a couple of friends that won the coffee cup, though. Kinda neat looking. It is green and has the answers asterisk on it. Below is the link that shows what the prizes were for each level.
Just a point of reference, here...try this.. Just run your cursor over the picture and it will tell you what level each person who answered your question is at and how many points they received this week.

Points are not the main thing , but completing a part as encourgement to go on like non stop questioning and answering , what important is sharing knowledge, ideas , solving problems and asking questions .

It's okay. I can do whatever i want since im level 6 so it doesn't bother me. It did in the past but i wasn't such an addict.
