America's voice is finally being heard. With the Democratic Party running both levels of the Federal Government and so many star Democratic candidates running for 08 things look bright. Republicans on the other hand have shown their true colors voting for the increase in troops to continue the pointless war in Iraq - have no viable candidates running in 08 -- and are, from all indications, self destructing. Is this a proud time for the Democratic Party or what?

Yes, I am feeling hopeful for our nation once more. I am hoping for a Clinton obama administration but would be satisfied with Obama-Clinton too. I want to add I told you!! to the vote Democrat bumper stickers still on my car from 2004.

Its never a proud time for the Democratic Party. They wanted this war even before Bush said we should Take out Saddam, Hillary said it and many others of your party. Now that he has his feet to the fire, because of unexpected events,ie. the human bombers; the liberals, mostly in the democratic party are trying to make it look like he failed, as if he could turn the war on and then just turn it off. As with any war, you may have a play going in that seems sound, but events cause your army to constantly make changes. I think it is cowardly to try to run the war from the bleacher seats, and undermine our troops while you embolden the enemy. The liberal media, Hollywood and the Democrats have cause more loss of lives than we will ever know. Democratic Politicians tell one lie after another to get elected.
God help us if Hillary and her once and awhile husband Bill get in the White House again. If you would check there history thoroughly, you would see there are 50 people who died of unnatural causes. Gunshots, plane crashes etc. You can't name anybody else with that record. Remember Vince Foster and Ron Brown? 48 more than that, since Bill became governor of Arkansas. Obama has no experience and shouldn't be considered. There are better candidates. No you shouldn't be proud, just more observant.

It's okay. The real interesting times are going to be the next few months, when the Congress has to choose between funding or not funding the war. How that vote goes will determine a lot about the '08 election.

Pride goeth before a fall

As an American I am ashamed of what the Libby D's are doing. Would they have told Sam Houston to forget the Alamo and try to show a little understanding towards Santa Anna.

Remember the towers
As we go to meet the foe
Remember the towers
As we do the Alamo

Lets all join the Army
Before cooler heads prevail
Lets Strap on our Bayonets
For there are Muslims to impale!

Cowardice is nothing to be proud of!

How proud can one be looking down the barrel of a Russian made A K 47? The democrats are proud enough to want this to happen.

You obviously have no idea how Congress works, do you? The new majority is going to be hard pressed to pass any real legislation in regards to the handling of the war. They can't even pass a nonbinding resolution in the Senate. How then do you propose they are going to be able to pass any real legislation that does the unthinkable act of reducing funding for our troops?

If anything, the new majority is slowly slipping off of their short lived perch atop the mountain known as Washington politics.

Yeah real proud. They couldn't even get the Iraq war resolution through the senate. What a powerful group they are.

Um, so much for the non-binding resolution. Died in the Senate.

I really don't buy that our "voices" are being heard much, either.

If they were, the two border guards Ramos & Campeon who are imprisoned after a mockery of justice, would be free already.
