As long as there's no sex involved, otherwise it is statutory rape.

Don't do it, because people will consider it illegal, even though you're talking about DATING and have made no mention of sex.
It's probably too big of age difference, anyway, although I've never bought the belief that you're better off with someone less mature rather than more mature. Tongues will wag too much - and problems could result. Although I couldn't imagine a law against going to movies or eating pizza, I wouldn't recommend it - it's not worth the hassle.
Consider that we our legal system is largely influenced by Feminist Jurisprudence. Under this system, 28 year old women are free to molest 14 year olds, but if a 22 year old guy goes out with a 15 year old and is a perfect gentleman, he will wind up in far more jeopardy and will be considered guilty until proven innocent, with vindicative evidence being disallowed. Look what happened at Duke - guilty before any trial, even though nothing happened. And the "accuser" was around 5 years older than the guys.

I cannot imagine why a 15 year old would want to date someone that much older. What could you possibly have in common? I think that your mother should rethink her decision to approve this relationship. I don't know about the legal issue. It is more a moral issue.

Dating is one thing but if a girl under 16 has sex with a male over 18 and there is more then a 3 year difference then he is committing statutory rape and can go to prison for years.

In Pennsylvania, a person 18 years and over can completely escape criminal liability for consensual sex only if their partner is also 18 or over.
The Age of consent in Pennsylvania is officially 16 years of age, but effectively 18 years of age, due to the interplay of various criminal statutes. A person who is 4 or more years older than a consenting partner who is less than 16 years of age can be charged with the following felony sex offenses: Statutory sexual assault {§ 3122.1} (vaginal or anal intercourse), Aggravated indecent assault {§ 3125} (penetration of the vagina or anus), Involuntary deviate sexual intercourse {§ 3123} (oral sex). A person 18 years or over, who engages in consensual sex with a person between the ages of 16 and 18 can be charged with Corruption of minors {§ 6301}, which is a first degree misdemeanour.
There is no "4 year rule" for the charge of corruption of minors. Additionally, the offense of corruption of minors is nebulously defined, criminalizing any conduct committed by a person 18 years and upwards which tends to corrupt the morals of a person less than 18 years of age. Sex is generally considered to constitute an act which corrupts the morals of a minor.
The corruption of minors statute creates a strange glitch in Pennsylvania law, as illustrated by the following hypothetical. A girl and boy in the same grade could be dating and legally having sex with each other throughout their 4 years of high school. In their senior year, the girl turns 18 in April, while the boy will not turn 18 until June. On their prom night in May, the boy and girl have sex, as they have previously done throughout high school. However, the girl is now committing the offense of corruption of a minor, because she is 18 years old and her boyfriend is only 17.

Define dating. If there is no sexual contact, it's probably not illegal. However, a 22 year old guy is going to want to do more than hold hands. You're setting him up for a Statutory Rape charge, and putting yourself in extreme danger as he's gonna want sex and he's probably a pervert of some sort. Remember Bundy? No, do some research on sex offenders and stay in your age group. You'll live longer.

You can date whoever you want. You just can't have any physical relations with them. Do you realize that ANYONE can report you?
Now, really. Are trying to say that a 15 year old has more to offer in a relationship than someone that is more your age? I understand that you may have had a hard time growing up and you were unable to talk to girls. So as a result, you are stuck being attracted to that age group. You should REALLY try to stick to someone over 18.

Your mother will cry in court. Your relationship will end when her parents hear bad news...and in the end...you will have a very hard time getting a judge to feel sympathy for you. Read a law book or two..or three...or four...or five....or....why not every one on the shelf? ie.-PEN-it-entiary-sylvania. Love? Question your options...and the position you are in. You are 22...and her father may have a 30/30.

I imagine most states in the USA are very strict about what is considered the age of consent and 15 would not be the number. Potentially your boyfriend could be charged with statutory rape so please consider this before you commit yourself to an intimate relationship.

Until you are 16 it could be an issue of concern. Typically the only way it would be a problem is if your parents filed charges of statutory rape. If your going to continue dating, you should both stay in your parents good graces!
