Correct me if I'm wrong, but does WWE have licence on the AWA? If yes, is it possible that WWE will resurrect AWA at some point in the future? Who would like to see an AWA resurrection under WWE control?

AWA: American Wrestling Association. They were one of the top promotions in the Untied States up until the mid to late 80s.

As badly as the ECW resurection is going right now, I doubt the Vinnie Mac is thinking about resurecting another brand. People were still chanting E C W at WWE events which led to the resurection. And ECW (in it's origional form) brought something to the table that no other promotion does. Did the AWA do that? Have you ever heard an AWA chant?

yea they should bring back AWA, it is a much better corporation than ECW. Some of the greats were over there at AWA. For example, Jerry the King Lawler was the last AWA World Heavyweight Champion, over there before it shut down. So, a portion of superstars over there are now here in the WWE. So, they should resurrect AWA, and kick out ECW.

the Awa was a small wrestling promotion located in the Midwest. It was run by Verne gagne. Wrestlers were crusher Blackwell, greg Gagne, nick bockwinkle., I believe Hulk Hogan was they`re for a while. Those were some of the wrestlers.

actually there is an AWA around now with agagne running it vince has the library of the old AWA but he doe snot own the rights to it no

The AWA turned into the WWF and then that turned into the WWE.I personaly think they should bring back WCW and get rid of ecw

i'm not sure. but vince's family broke the WWE away from the AWA a long long long time ago but i really don't know.

i not sure but i think verne gagne still has the ownership of the AWA.it went bankrupt in 1990..vince an verne did a collaboration in the AWA dvd

yeah, vince owns the awa library. if he tries 2 revive awa, i hope he does it better than ecw.
