The weather in Dallas transitions from a warm spring to blazing hot summer during May. Early May will have days in the 70s, and at some point the weather converts to 90+ and won't go below that until October.

In May it is hot by then. Next month things will start to warm up. April the same way except its the rainest month of the year. If you are having your party in early may that could drag on a little bit. But by memorial day weekend expect it to be in the 90's and we are talking about excrutiating dry heat -- and its only the beginning. It gets worse.

The pools might still be a little cool, but you should definitely be able to swim. The weather is usually quite warm by May, especially if you're not accustomed to Texas weather. I'd definitely say go ahead and plan your party :-)

It will already be warm enough to go swimming by the end of march. By the time may gets here, you will be wanting to walk around butt naked. The highs will probably be in the 90's by then.
