Personally, I prefer Gretsch. It's a long standing company with a great reputation that continues making quality affordable drums.

Gretsch is faaaaaaaaarrrrrr better than some offbrand like royce

Gretsh....you really can't go wrong with them.

Personally I prefer Pearl over anything but out of these two go with the classic.
