When mine was 6 weeks old we went on a 300+ mile each way trip to a friends wedding. You're okay to take her out.

I am Old School it is called and very Proud of it as I have seen
mothers with newborn babies in stores and the baby is in a carrier and without a light blanket even but, the mother all bundled up in a coat, cap, scarf and gloves. Now, it looked to me as though the poor little baby is being placed on exibit rather than Cared For! Now babies are all over the place from the time they
leave the hospital and the more germs and diseases the more you see babies out in the air where the germ, etc, are and it is so
very sad!
Old day or Old school babies went no where but for the check ups and back and they were covered, Then no where until six to eight weeks old. That was always my theory and always will be!

Well, I drove home with my newborn in the car! They can travel as long as you keep them changed and fed. I made a 5 hr trip with my oldest when he was 2 weeks old. If you are concerned about any special issues your daughter may have then ask your pediatrician. I know there are issues with airplanes because of the altitude or something but I don't remember ever receiving any warnings about cars. Other than to have them in the car seat properly strapped in etc.

When my son was 6 weeks old we traveled about 300 miles one way in the car. His pediatrician said he would be fine and he was. Also, he is just 3 1/2 mo. old now and we just took our first plane ride & did great!
Happy Traveling!

Make sure you have the right car seat (rear facing) and that the baby meets the proper weight and height requirements for that seat. If all that is good than have a great time wherever you go. Just remember your baby's immune system isn't fully developed and it is cold a flu season. I would limit their contact of public places but family and friends houses are fine. Have a good time

My daugther was a day old when I took her out shopping, she was 3 weeks when we went on vacation, a 8 hour trip with her by car. No need to wait for a certain age to take baby out in the car, your being to protective.

I presume you brought your baby home in a car. It is ok to take baby for drives as long as young infants are not kept in the car seat more than 2 hours. If you do need to take a long trip, be sure to take breaks along the way and take the baby out of the car seat for at least 15 minutes. If your baby is bottle fed, never feed them while they are in the seat incase they choke, it could take too long to pull over and unbuckle the little one to help him/her.

any age is fine to go out driving and on road trips. just remember to pack a diaper bag with all the food and diapers and wipes you need and of course extra clothes. it won't hurt them or anything. as long as you have the proper car seat.
