I'm sorry, but I still need story ideas! Characters, plots, settings, etc.?

Question

I like writing about teenage or comedy epics, kids that get into severe 'street' trouble (poss. drugs, pregnancy). This would be for mature teens, and I thank anyone that answers, but please do it appropiately. All answers are appreciated. I know that writers use their own life expriences (sry spelling) and I plan on useing a huge part of it exactly like that (of course changing names, places, etc.) but for teh subjects I have not gone through, (drugs, teen pregnancy) I would like some insight. I'd like this to be a book like Smack by Melvin Burgess, or Crank like Ellen Hopkins. Thanks Again.

You seem to know what you want to write about, so I don't think you need to ask others for ideas. They're already in your head, you might just need to do research. Have you read non-fiction works about the topics you're interested in writing about? These would provide many real-life examples which you could learn from. Try watching the news a few nights, too. Think about what might have happened if something in a news story had gone differently.

Since you mentioned drug use, here's a website about street drugs that should help with terminology. It's a site for students, teachers and law enforcement, so it isn't "promoting" drug use in any way, and is a good way to start research if that's what you're going to write about:

I have a great idea! How about you do a story about a smooth young undercover cop that just joined the force, so he has to do some dirty work. He knows kung fu or some other type of martial art. He goes into a high school undercover as a student teacher. When the students mess around and he yells at them, one attacks him and the guy does some jiu jitso stuff and breaks the guys arm. Then, he ends up busting a major drug ring in the school by bribing kids with grades and trying to buy stuff off them. I think that would be awesome!

Maybe a story about gangs. You could start the story off in the present with one friend shooting another friend, and then go back to when they were kids and show how and why it happened.
