put two things in between your legs - a beer and a piece of chocolate - if the beer vanishes, then it's a boy. If the chocolate goes, then it's a girl (or gay). If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what you are going to be able to do - you will probably have to wait until it's old enough to tell you if it pees standing up or sitting down - best of luck -
no really - you can't all of those wives tales and myths don't work.

1. By the shape of your belly.It isnot accurate though but it does predicts at least 80% right.If it is round it's usually a girl but if it has a definiteshape usually oval then it is a boy.But then again sometimes a big sized girl will also look like a boy's belly.
2. Chinese lunar calender.You just put ur conceiving month and ur age at the time of concieving it will give you a prediction.Though it is also not 100% accurate but it is 99% accurate as far as I have checked.I even planned my pregnancy according to that calendar.

By scanning, do you mean ultrasound? And if that's what you mean, then there is not other way of knowing except amniocentesis, and you usually don't have that done unless you are over 35 or have a dangerous pregnancy. Go for the ultrasound, it will be really, really fun!!!

some people say you can tell by the way your carry if it high its a boy or if your low is a girl i was both high and low as i had a boy and a girl but other people say that not true but hay it worked for me

You won't know...people say if your stomach looks a certain way its a boy, if you only gain on your stomach its a girl...what bull....
Its nice to know, that way you know what color stuff to get....
