Reading is the best. Computers are useful tools, however, reading-is the best. Why? Look at all the great classic books that have been written. Plus, the one wonderful thing about reading is that your imagination is used. I read "To Kill A Mockingbird" in high school, I also saw the black and white version of the movie(the movie was older than I), and after I read the book first, I did enjoy the movie, and they did cast the people, and did the film very well. I found that for me, when I saw the movie, the character "Boo Radley", they had fit the character just fine. Reading helps the mind stay alert, not only is your imagination used, but part of that also is your creativity. I hope this helps you in your answers to your question. Take care.

I personally prefer printed books to eBooks or other online reading. I like the feel of a book and I can carry it with me and don't have to worry about battery life, finding an outlet, or wireless internet connections. My eyes also hurt after looking at a computer screen for extended periods of time. I do read a lot of things online, like articles, comics and blogs, but if it is something I'm interested in reading more closely, I will print it out. I also print out critique work I'm sent through email and work on it in printed form before making my comments in the document and returning it to the sender.

Reading books. You can take them anywhere. Also, books on tape are life savers if you struggle through a required book and can't remember the beginning and/or understand the story.

Audio books are my favorite media for novels and anything non-technical where you don't need charts and graphs.
