I have heard that he has said that he is not the dating type, but I was wondering who this girl named Olivia is and if Gerard Way is dating someone, who? I'm an avid My Chemical Romance fan, though I'm not obsessed with Gerard, I choose to know as much as I can about MCR.

Olivia is his DOG, there are pictures of him, Mikey, and Bob with the DOG Olivia. He had a girlfriend for 6 years years then he ended it during the summer of 2006. Here ill even show you the pictures.

If you know this question has been asked before, why are you asking it again?
You say you're not obsessed with Gerard, and you choose to know as much as you can about MCR.... well, needing to know whether a celebrity has a girlfriend or not isn't finding out about the band. You're not looking up information on MCR's early days, influences, etc... you want to know if a member of the band has a girlfriend. Pathetic.
