How hot a babe do you really think you are?
Heat and pressure (to the extreme) is needed to form diamonds...even industrial strength diamonds.
You have no idea of the intensity needed to create this gem.
So, go ahead and try, but unless you actually have glass, then the real diamond won't budge under your feeble attempts!

well it would be completely awesome if you could but not only does it take temparature above 1000 degrees to change the matter of a diamond, but it turns into a gas, not a liquid. luckily, diamonds dont break if you drop them so hopefully, you wont get a bunch of little diamonds out of a big one :)

no, diamond isn't something that is normally melted. it would require mass amounts of pressure and heat to do. the only place,if its ever been done at all, is probably in some fancy shmancy laboratory

umm, no. unless you are osme braniac lab genius.
but if you want to turn lots of small diamons into one big diamond, you could try selling them to buy a big one with the money from the small ones.
