To be shy usually means that you are uncomfortable social situations, and thus dont usually talk much, exept to people you know well. People usually know when they are shy, so odds are, whoever told you that you're shy probably is just saying that you're quiet.

Maybe you don't interact with people often enough, stay separated at social events, spend too much time in the house like me :)), i'm shy but just don't realize it...Anyways, If you do realize that you are shy, just go out and do each day a thing that you're afraid of...!

usually people say ur shy when ur just quiet. being shy means being afraid to speak up at times with people u don't and sometimes do no well. if u have a hard time meeting someone's eyes when ur talking ur probably shy.

shy is when you are quiet and thoughtful. it's basically when someone isn't outgoing or wild. Shy can also mean smart, or, you know.... just dont talk alot. Are you calm and quiet? Do you get embarrased when someone praises you, or asks you a question? shy is shy is shy.
