Arch in eyebrows?

Question

I usually get my eyebrows threaded and I'm in the process of growing them out again because they didn't come out the way I asked and explained AGAIN. I keep telling the lady at the Indian threading place I go to I want a high arch like Angelina Jolie or like Eva Longoria for example.. I think you get the jist of what I'm saying? I've even drawn pictures.. I want a pretty high arch yet it never comes out right? Help! Yeah just like that, maybe not so thick.. HELP! How can I explain this or achieve this on my own? (I've been taming them with a brush as they grow out) Thanx.

Threading is an Indian technique where they take the hair from your eyebrows and shape them with a thread. It's supposed to be the most precise method. They do not put fake hair on your eyebrows.

Personally I think it's pretty precise, moreso than waxing. I have actually brought drawings and pointed out a picture of Beyonce in a magazine.. (they have them there so you can pick something you want) And I do have a natural arch, I would just like it to be more defined. It seems like a while after I get my brows done it goes away.. I try to tell them again and again but they nod even though they seem to be incoherent.. and the majority of them don't speak english. :/ Thanx for the answers..

With some people arches are hard to achieve if their brow is in the wrong shape. But, still possible. It may just not looked as great as you thought it would. You should go with something that goes with your face, not Angelina. Also, I personally believe that waxing is easier and quickest to achieve an arch than with any other method. Find someone that knows what they are doing and has a good rep for eyebrow shaping.

I didn't know threading was that precise. I'd go to a plain old waxer, pictures in hand, and let them give it a shot. You might not have enough eyebrow to do the arch in the pictures. If you do, maybe draw the exact brows you want over your brows and let them remove the hair from around where you drew.

Just print out these pictures as an examples of how you want your eyebrows and show the lady. But you must make sure that the eyebrows you want match your face perfectly and you have to have similar eyebrows like those women to achieved that look. When in doubt go to a professional eyebrow artist to help you shape your eyebrows to fit your face.

what is threading is that where the put fake hair on your eyebrow?

I would suggest looking for someone else who also does the same thing... maybe they would be better

You should probably get one of those pictures printed out (i think the beyonce looks good) and take it with you and give it to the lady. and leave it with her posted on a wall so that everytime you go back she will know exactly how to do them!!!

you can only do that if your eyebrows are naturally shaped like that
