Favre started at quarterback for The University of Southern Mississippi for four years before being selected in the second round of the 1991 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. After one season with the Falcons, Favre was traded to the Green Bay Packers, February 10, 1992, for a first-round draft pick.[ He became the Packers starting quarterback in the third game of the 1992 NFL season.
Favre is the only three-time MVP (1995-97) in NFL history and has led the Packers to two Super Bowls: the first a victory against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI and the second a loss to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII. Favre has played 16 seasons in the NFL, starting every game since his first start for the Packers in 1992. His records include most consecutive starts among NFL quarterbacks with 237 (257 total starts including playoffs) and most completions (5,021). He is the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. He has been with the Packers since 1992. In fact, he has played every game for the Packers since then. He led the Packers to a Championship at Super Bowl XXXI (31) where they defeated the New England Patriots. He led them to another Super Bowl appearance at Super Bowl XXXII (32), but they lost to the Denver Broncos. He will go down as one of the greatest QB's of all time. The Packers will definitely hang up #4 for him when he retires.

Have you been asleep for the last 15 years? He's one of the five best quarterbacks ever. He was drafted by Atlanta but didn't play much if any that first year. He then went to Green Bay and the rest, they say, is history.
