change the format of the song to MP3.... then you can fit a whole bunch of songs on your CD-R but it probably won't play on some older model CD players....
the CD player has to be able to play MP3 songs....

The only way I know of doing that is to change all the music to Mp3 format, and make the files of very low quality. When you convert a file to Mp3, you can choose the quality. I think standard is 128kb, but you can go lower, which makes the file smaller, so you can get more on the disc. So, a song converted to 64kb on Mp3 takes up approximately half the space of a standard 128 kb song, but it also doesn't have the same quality, and the music will not sound as good.
That's the only way I know of to do it.

Convert them to MP3 format and burn them to the CD. It's quite simple but you will need a CD player that can read MP3's. That shouldn't be to much of a problem considering just about all new car stereo's and home stereo's accept MP3's. Check out this website for more help: www.blazemp.com

Make it as a data disc, not a regular CD. You can fit up to 700mb on it that way.
but...alot of regular or older CD players wont play them.

You could use MP3 format or Data Disc. Just go to the settings on your media player. If you're using WMP 11 then go to the Burn tab and click on down arrow and click on Data disc and that's it. It's also very fast to burn.
