IE=internet exploer and the 7 is the version, like version before was 6

Like the others say. Interet Explorer 7. But don't download it, as there are many problems with it. Keep your current version, which is most likely safer.
IE7 Has a lot of compatibility problems, meaning that some things on yahoo have trouble working, as well as on other sites. Until Microsoft has had IE7 out for a long time, then don't get it. As with any software, there are bugs, and hackers wanting to ruin it.
Wait until the latest version has well upgraded their service before you even think of getting it. It's not worth risking the safety of your computer for an inferior program.

First off, answer a couple of questoins for me.. 1. Do you have any kind of restore point or restore disk, made before these changes? 2. Are you trying to install it from Mozilla or IE 5? 3. Have you already reformatted the computer and such? Also, check something -- go to your desktop (main screen of the computer) and find the "recycle bin" icon. If you don't see it, I can help you find it, but will need to know what operating system you use. If you can find it, look to see if any files regarding internet explorer are present.
