YES

Can you get pregnant during your period?
The debate on whether or not a woman can get pregnant during her period has been going on for decades now. Just like every woman is different, so are her hormonal balances and hence her menstrual cycle. Though there are generalities on which some ground basics of menstruation and pregnancy can be formed, but eventually it all boils down to individual physiology. So, yes, you can get pregnant during your periods.

There is a definite chance that any woman can get pregnant during her periods. Though the chances of pregnancy during periods are usually low during periods, they exist for all women. During periods, the chances of pregnancy are comparatively lower at the onset of a woman's period and increase just after her periods. The truth is that there is no predictable time during the month when the risk of pregnancy can be said to be absent. Lets understand how and when this can happen.

first of all - if you are on the pill - um, that prevents you from getting pregnant. That is why you take it. Second - if you have had your period for two weeks, you better set a Dr.'s apt. That is a long time to be on your period. Something may be wrong.
And if you were not on the pill - then I would say yes - I am a firm believer you can get pregnant any time during the month - I have been pregnant 2 times now at odd times during the month.

Yes, you can get pregnant at any time of your cycle. It is less likely that you would while menstruating, but it doesn't mean that you can't. Some women ovulate more than once a month, but only get their periods once a month.
Also, the pill isn't 100% effective. I once took the pill 3 hours after my usual time, and that small window caused me to ovulate and become pregnant. The pregnancy didn't stick, however, because one of the functions of the pill is to make the uterine lining less likely to sustain a pregnancy.

I wouldn't rely on that though, because I've heard many stories of women (including couple of my friends) becoming pregnant and carrying to term while on the pill or their periods.

*** A period that lasts for two weeks is NOT normal under most circumstances, but definitely not normal while on the pill. Please see your ob/gyn.***

Yes, you certainly can get pregnant when you are on your period, even when you are on the pill. I would go see your doctor. Even if you arent pregnant, if a 2 week period isnt normal for you, then there may be something else going on.

Sounds like you need a stronger pill. You shouldn't have your period for 2 weeks while on birth control pills. You can get pregnant but it is highly unlikely.
