Having a group of friends come over my place chilling out, how would you arrange the night? Phone for takeaway? Cook? Get a dvd?

-phone and order food, of course! you won't have enough time to make lots of party food unless all of your friends like cooking and do it together. otherwise you will be the one in the kitchen and they are having party in the living room.
-but you may make some snack (easy recipe) to show your hospitlaity! smile! you may ask them to bring their favourite snack for the drinking session! haahaa!
-DVD? if you guys have gathering often, DVD is a good choice. if this is a once a while party, don't waste time on DVD. Get your fd drink, eat, talk, sing, laugh and even fight, . INTERACTION!
-prepare your photo album for sharing
-recent issue (news or personal) for comments
-get your camera ready for photo taking
-music and dance
-for fun, you may get some wigs or payjamas for everyone who comes in and make it a "friends-in-cosume" fun night!

I would bring a pile of cushions and blankets downstairs, order in a couple of pizzas, get a big bag of chocolate, and spend the night watching everyone's favourite DVD's and chatting.

Pillow fights are an obvious must.

Our favorite thing is to have friends over, spend the day skiing on the lake, grill in the backyard in the evening, and then head upstairs for a game of pool followed by karaoke and movies in the theater. It's usually late, so they just stay over.

No skiing this time of year! It's too cold- even in my wetsuit!

If it's a group of guys and girls I recommend playing some games. Often times my friends and I get together and play dominoes, taboo, gestures, spades etc. Make sure there's lots of food, maybe some liquor and perhaps a DVD. Have fun!!!

make something easy! like nachos or pizza. have a couple games ready, something that gets everybody yelling like catchprase or pictionary. depending on your age, have alcohol available to loosen the group. and a movie always works out great. especially with ice cream or popcorn.
