News and the media here in the US are scary, at best. I think John Mayer summed it all up in his song Waiting on the World to Change when he said, concering the media....
"When they own the information, ohhhh, they can bend it all they want!"
Just my two cents....

I think it would be honest to say that the news in America is biassed. There seem to be two sides, the liberals, and then conservative talk show hosts/*** news hounds.
I certainly feel that the big media outlets are all slanted in one particular direction and that in doing that they hold back from giving a more balanced view--which they could give if they wanted to. I also find that the news hardly rates as news. How many times do we hear the same thing over and over again for 2 or 3 days, with great emotional energy emanating from the talking heads, and the information could all be said in two minutes or less. Meanwhile the rest of the world goes by and we hear nothing of it unless we start perusing the internet.
I find American news broadcasting to be far too narrow in scope and thought, and far too xenophobic and provincial. I would like to see a great deal more information from abroad and from the viewpoint on Americans of the media abroad. It would do us all a world of good to "see ourselves as others see us".

one sided of course
the sponcers are king
thus buisness as usuall will always overrule liberal stuff .like heath education human /consumer rights
global warming is a side issue better to cover the children being arrested as a sleeper cell by virtue of a conmans sentance reduction and a vidio to disney land
or the death of a porn star ,or if you get local news of car crashes not cancer deaths ,.or those killed each day from alcohol or diabetus ,or heart disease ,or perscribed medication adverse reaction
the latter killing an equivilent of 3 jumbo jets of people every day
prozac killed well over 10 ,ooo thats only one anti geppresant
or corn chip caused obesity ,when a corn chip producer can asfford oprime time 2/3 ,million for an advert druring a sports event
we just need to ask are we getting the real news or the news the advertiser allows ,yes tortally one sided point of vieuw ,but which side
neo right ?

Repetitive lies, half truths and omissions. The news is a cover up and a diversion from serious issues. Watch a news cast from another free world country and see the difference.

Depends on where you get your news. Some television stations and most local media are based on a republicans views. Few and far between but it is possible to find the other part of the stories

Most American news is biased and one sided. I agree.
The leftists in the media control CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC.
The only news station that is different than the rest of the left-leaning propaganda stations above is FOX news.
Of all American news, FOX comes closest to the truth.

All lies? no but the majority yes. That's what you get when you have the liberals running the news media.

No more than anywhere else in the world. I was born in Europe and travel there regularly and I find their news to be biased against the USA.

Pretty much. You need a non-biased news station like the BBC.
