By every definition the War in Iraq is a Civil War. Every Country in the world knows this is now a fact. Only the Republicans and Faux news refuse to call it a civil war. Why did Republicans vote to support throwing 20,000+ Americans into another country's civil war?

i guess because Republics just don't want to admit to themselves that they've been duped into paying, in blood and taxes, for an unwinnable war, a civil war started by their Decider and his NeoCon cronies (as per the PNAC plan devised looooooong before 9/11). the neoCONNED Republics would rather throw good lives and good into the Iraqi civil war meat grinder than to admit they were wrong. their NeoCON leaders couldn't be more pleased with the loyalty displayed by their true believers. the longer the unwinnable wars go on the higher goes the stock in the Military Industrial Complex.
i hear there's a worldwide spending spree going on right now as Muslim countries arm themselves against American aggression.
the Bush admin's business cronies not only profit from the 2 wars we're mired in but from the arms race that the Bush admin foreign policy has inspired. Military Industries stand in the middle and make huge profits selling to both sides. war is big business and the chance of acquiring and monopolizing Mideast oil fields isn't a bad motivation either. feeling safer yet?

All we are saying
Is give War a chance
Hand out the ammo
Let the Army advance
They haven’t attacked here
Since we’ve taken that stance
Peace didn’t work, SO
Lets give War a chance
We were living quite peaceful
Kind of minding our own
Not Bombing the Balkins
Or throwing a stone
We looked at our towers
With pride in our glance
They stood so majestic
While we gave peace a chance
Then out of the blue sky
A plane it did come
And shot like an arrow
Towards tower one
We watched it in horror
A terrified trance
What evil would do this
While we gave peace chance
Now all we are saying
Is give War a chance
Hand out the ammo
Let the Army advance
They haven’t attacked here
Since we’ve taken that stance
Peace didn’t work, SO
Lets give War a chance
Then o’er above Penzy
A phone call got through
And the man who received it
Knew just what to do
He heard of the towers
Of the terror advance
Said “We’re all gonna die now
If we give peace a chance”
So they summoned their courage
And bravely they fought
For the lives of many others
For their own not a thought
And though they did perish
The plane fell like a lance
Their remembered as heroes
‘Cause they gave War a chance
Now all we are saying
Is give War a chance
Hand out the ammo
Let the Army advance
They haven’t attacked here
Since we’ve taken that stance
Peace didn’t work, SO
Lets give War a chance
Yeah, Peace didn’t work, So
Let’s give War a chance
And if war doesn't work
Then, Let's give Nukes a chance

To protect the outer borders of Iraq, and complete the mission we have already started so all our deaths, along with the Iraqi's deaths, isn't for naught. Don't you believe in freedom for all? Or do you just think it is only for you, and SOME Americans? Would you rather have everyone of our troops come home, and leave Iraq to themselves, when they are not ready, let Iran take them over, build nuclear bombs, destroy Israel, and become a superpower, and then nuke us? Brains, where have they gone? Also, why is it pointless? We are the strongest nation on earth, we can help to set free another nation who wants the same things we have, and they shall have it. Other peoples always wanted pieces of the middle east for ownership. We don't. We have always believed in freedom, and it also helps us to have another ally there.

Many Repubs do no longer and are commencing as much as chat out and vote with Dems. Others are in denial and desire that this final surge might have a distinctive consequence from all of the different surges. Even Bush's hand picked advisors and generals have instructed him that the conflict is lost.

I cant believe you are calling the Iraq War "pointless". We stopped an evil dictator from killing any more of his countrymen. In case you did'nt know, he killed hundreds of thousands of them. They have had democratic elections and are getting their first taste of real freedom. We need the 20,000 troops to help finish the job. You ignorant lib!!

it's 21,500 friend. If you haven't noticed with the first 7,000 there is an 80% drop in crime and a serious lull in violence in Baghdad.
