menstrual bleeding that is not flowing??????

I am getting very very worried i had my menstrual period january 20th-25th, two weeks after my period stopped i had some light brown spttin for two days then it stopped well about 5 days after that the brown spotting started up aain and lasted about 5 days then it started turning red only when i went to the restroom only tiny spots would leak onto my panty liner, the next day i got up and went to the bathroom and the clear water was bright dark red just like period blood but it still is not coming out of my vagina it is staying in, meaning i m having bleedin but no blood flow, what does this mean??befor all this even my period i didnt get a period for over a year with no reason why everything i had everything checked out and all was perfect but dotor put me on a progesterone challenge 10mg fo 7 days that is why i had my period jan 20th..why am i getting this weird bleeding now? why is it not coming out? please i am very scared. Only want experienced to answer

I would call the drs. office right away and explain to them what is happening...they could give you a better idea of what is going on...Good Luck~

Hi i have the same problem as you, i have poly cystic ovaries and this causes very abnormal bleeding. Last year i was bleeding lightly constantly for 12 weeks and then i stopped bleeding until now. I started bleeding nearly 3 weeks ago very heavy and it stopped for 2 days and then started again just a heavy.

I went to my doctors and they were going to give me one of 2 different types of medication. Either the pill or another drug that would stop the bleeding but if you are trying for a baby then this is no good as it makes you infertile but if that is not the case then you could take it and it will stop.

Ask your doctor if its possible you have pcos.

well.. the brown spotting is normal. new blood is red and old blood is brown. almost everyone sees some brown during their period. as far as the other questions i'd call your doctor and explain it to them! your body is not something to play around with so don't waste time asking strangers on here... find out what it really is.
