Ive recently put on weight and alot of teens at my school keep calling me fat and that im ugly. i never was told this before i gained weight in the 6th grade. im in the ninth grade now. i can take the fat insults, and people telling me that id look beautiful if i lost weight..but i cant help but ask; do some people look ugly when they gain weight? Its a simple question [please dont answer that fat is beautiful, you wont be chosed for best answer]. And yeah i agree that im fat. ill diet..

I really love your question and your attitude.
I honestly think alot of women that are overweight look beautiful and sexy.
But honestly one thing I've noticed about women when they gain weight is that they look older. I remember meeting a girl that was overweight and I thought she was 35. I was surprised when she told me that she was only 26. Because some of the weight did go to her face.
I see alot of girls that when they lose weight there faces look so much nicer. Like they were beautiful when were overweight but they looked even more beautiful when they lost weight.
But then its good to have a little weight. When some people lose too much weight there faces start to look like they have no energy or color.
Don't worry about those people in school. Kids are mean. And they say these things because they are insecure and would rather make fun of somebody else than have people make fun of them. I'm glad to see that you have a lot of spirit.
Good Luck with your diet. I'm trying to lose a few pounds too. Boy is it hard.

Some people do, sadly.
It's always a matter of perspective though. Some people need gain only a little weight to look horrible, some need to gain a lot. Some always look reasonably good.
I can't tell you if you look beautiful, not having seen you. What I can tell you is that because you have a questioning mind you are interesting. Interesting is far more important than looks for a lot of people.
This might seem a little wierd, but did you consider that if you are fat, people will be more likely to love you for the whole of you rather than just the body you live in ?
To balance the view, consider that a lot of people look horrible when they are underweight too, and again it is a matter of perspective and degree. These people would look better when gaining weight.

People can be VERY mean and prejuidiced towards people who are "fat". I don't know why, I think it's terrible! Especially at school.
I think that as long as you take care of yourself, your hair, complexion, make-up, fashion etc. You can still be very attractive even at a higher weight.
Conversely, a thin person who doesn't take pride in his/her appearance can look FAR worse than a hevy-set person, so I don't think that being thin is a magic cure-all for anything.
It's up to you whether you want to lose weight. The main thing is self confidence. You've got to feel like you are the best you can be for YOU, and then the rest of the world sort of falls into place. It sounds a bit far fetched but it's true!

Some people get a different look when they gain weight, it could be skin problems caused by hormones that caused them to gain weight. People who have been put on cortisone get a very round face and their facial features can change-eyes droop, very puffy cheeks a number of things. One thing that some people get when they gain weight that makes them ugly is- a bad attitude and then they frown and look mean-that makes a person very ugly. Being overweight isn't ugly having an attitude is.

Yes, some people do look unattractive because of their weight. It should be stated though, that there are lots of fat people who aren't ugly at all. In other words, being fat could possibly make you ugly, but ugly people are not necessarily ugly because they are fat. Remember, there are a lot of ugly skinny people in the world.

High school kids are cruel for the most part. Many will pick on overweight students. "Ugly" is just a term they use. I do not think they use it in the true sense of the word.
Fat does not make a person look ugly. Lack of hygiene, unkempt clothes, and general disregard for how one looks is usually what looks "ugly" on a person.
Hold your head high (no matter your weight), and you will be fine!!

Yes some people can look horrible if they're overweight, especially if they were thinner before and looked attractive. That said, i have some friends who are overweight and they are still beautiful. It al depends on how you carry yourself!
But in general if you're overweight, losing weight will make you more attractive IMO.

I'm a bit curvy myself and everyone tells me I looked better a size 5, so I guess some women and men carry weight better than others. Don't feel bad, your not the only girl out there who gets to hear those comments. Decide for yourself how you prefer to see yourself, slim or curvy?

If you are naturally designed to be lean, then you won't look good putting on weight.
Some people are designed to be naturally curvy, and they tend to look scrawny and haggard if they get too slim.
Work with what nature intended. And the younger the lose the weight, the easier it will be.

some ppl carry their excess weight well and look ok but others can look odd and out of shape with it. read tips on some great weight loss and exercise programs to help you better on this site
