I'm not an expert, but my advice would be to stop the spyware blaster if it is running all the time and just run it on a casual basis. Make sure the McAfee is set up to do regular antispyware scans. I currently use McAfee and removed all the running in the background stuff that the McAfee does.
I was running an antispyware program and had an antivirus (not McAfee) package that did the same thing, and then the computer crashed with a "hard drive" problem. I removed the antispyware package and haven't had any more problems.
My understanding is if you are running two packages doing the same task you are more likely to weaken your security rather than strengthen it.
Basically, there will always be a lag between the discovery of a malware on the web and the signatures getting into the Antivirus packagaes (unless they wrote them themselves), which is why you pay for things like daily updates.

More than enough. Lets not going makeing "much ado about noting when it comes to spyware" Many websites get their $$ off spying and selling you stuff. So you need to allow the spy cookine and so what if you do its all part of the Web and the $$ generated this way allow for the Web to exist.
Too much is made about nothing when it comes to Spying on the Web. You'd think all of us are as important as a King or Queen and people are out there spending big bucks to spy on us. They are spying, but with only one thought in mind, and that is to SELL US SOMETHNING . And there is nothing wrong I can see about that.

Best programs for a good running pc and are free the first two get all the add ware when you use them one at a time. They caught a key logger first time I used them. The last one on the list is my favorite cleans all the junk files and a whole lot more .This and yahoo security suit are all I use to keep my pc happy.Defrag and scandisk also. You can have as many spyware programs as you want and one program won't catch everything.Only one antivirous program as they will fight one another.

Unfortunately, no matter how many programs you have designed to protect your pc from infection, many spyware and virused can still infect your pc. I went on to ESPN last week and got a virus, this with Norton installed.
