It takes a while for a period to regulate itself. I could take up to a year to do that.

Ok hun...look on the bright side, ur not pg! i'm going to assume that ur around 12 y o. for the first year or so, your body is still getting used to the hormones and it needs some time to get work things out. more often than not, girls first starting out don't get a period every month. give it some time. if after 2 years, tell ur mama, u may need to see the doctor. btw, i'd let ur mama know ur fears anyway. chances are she's been there done that.

im not sure i understand what your saying , but for the first while your periods can be all pver the place or on time every time. your body is probably just getting used to it. if that didn;t answer your question then send me an e-mail and explain it a little more and ill do my best ( i got off to the rough start with my monthlys, i know a thing or two) or you can even go to your doctor and ask.

Don't worry. Most young women are irregular the first year or so. It's not unusual to skip periods at first. Some are never regular. I was never completely regular my whole life.

If you go several months without a period you might want to speak to your doctor.

Be glad you are not sexually active so that's not a worry!

OK,
Relax. In young girls who just start menstrating, it can take YEARS to get into a regular cycle. Your body is changing so fast at your age that hormones and growth can throw your cycle way off. I wouldn't worry about this at all. If you don't get it for another couple of months, then you may want to see a dr, but until then, you are fine. Just enjoy not having it!

Are you a little over weight? Are you always regular? ask yourself these questions if you are always on time and you missed some periods then make an appointment with a gyn, even though you are not sexually active he or she may want to do a pap smear and pelvic exam. hope this info helps.

For the first period up to about 3 years of having it it may be irregular. Nothing to freight about. BUT, if you have been losing weight REALLY guickly or are really stressed out alot, that can cause you to have a missed period.

It takes 6 months to 2 years for your body to regulate its period.
When I got mine I got it one month and then it wouldn't appear for 3 more months. Then the length of my period varied from 2 days to 8 days. It's completely normal.

your period is very irregular when you first begin (even for the first year). which means it may not always come on time. you're body is just getting used to it. if u have never had sex there is nothing to worry about.

Could be stress, or if you're athletic, or diet and lifestyle, drugs, or it might just be irregular for a while! No big deal, but if it really bothers you, call your dr.. They can give you birth control to regulate it.
