Ronald Reagan. He protected us when Kadfi was terrorizing Americans by taking our airlines hostage, and murdering our military men on those airplanes. He bombed Kadafi's house, killing his step-daughter, shame a child had to die for the safety of Americans, but Kadafi is the one who was responsible for her death. Reagan didn't take any crap off anyone, and he loved this country, as much as his own life, if not more. He made us laugh when we were down because of the terrorism, he brought good economy to us, at least to my family. We moved into a house of our own, because of him, when before it was always a crowded apartment. Bless Ronnie, he was ALL American.

1. Lincoln. For holding the nation together during its greatest (so far) time of peril and for the Emancipation Proclamation
2. Washington. For getting the Presidency started correctly by both his leadership and his willingness to step down after 2 terms (which was not mandatory until the mid 20th Century) and thus not be perceived as a European style monarch. A true citizen statesman.
3. Jefferson. For his wise leadership and for expanding the nation through the Louisiana Purchase and for the Lewis & Clark Expedition, which ultimately led to continental expansion.
4. Reagan. For facing down the Soviet Union, rejecting detente and thus being the major reason we won the Cold War; for the economic policies which brought the booming economy we still enjoy & for taking us out of the Carter malaise.
5. FDR. Although as a conservative I disagree with many of his policies, I give him credit for being a strong leader and moral force who held the country together during the Great Depression & WW II.

Ronald Reagan. For ending the Cold War. If Reagan were president now, these little pissants like Iran and North Korea and Venzuela wouldn't make a peep.

Ronald Reagan was the best.
He defeated communism abroad and overturned many of the socialistic policies that plagued our country in the 70's.
And the worst would be a two way tie between LBJ and Carter.

I like Teddy Roosevelt.
He was the first Cheerleader to become president.
He also carried a side arm and walked the streets of Washington DC shooting stray dogs.

Top three: Washington, Lincoln, and Reagan. They could lead and not worry about public opinion. They weren't interested in how history remembered them.
