I am wondering if anyone knows what it takes to be or do proof reader I am intrested in knowing more

It takes a thorough liberal arts education. Focus on spelling, grammar, sentence structure, antonyms, homonyms, synonyms and parts of speech.

Then contact any large corporation that has corporate offices in your area, or any major legal placement outsourcing firm and tell them you want to find work as a proof reader.

While in college VOLUNTEER. They should be able to find positions where you can work as an unpaid volunteer and they report back to your instructors so you get a grade for the service you have performed.

Legal phraseology is far different than normal writing. So you might want to study some legal courses at a paralegal education center.
