Yes, just go into your start menu and double click on it from there to update it.

|It is mearly a task bar icon. AVG is still fully functional including realtime protection and auto updates.

The program that places the icon in the taskbar is no longer running at windows startup thats all

DON'T Worry.

If you prefer the icon visible simply re-install AVG.

Do you have a hide button on your task bar?Go to control panel>add and remove programs and see if it's listed.You can create a shortcut by opening all programs and right clicking on the programs fly out menu.

Its still working but you no longer get real-time protection and automatic updates.
