Ummm, yeah, I am pretty sure. I am Pecti-Witan (aka Hedge Witch, not Wiccan) a "solitary" practitioner of "the Old Religion", and have been for many, many years. Being a "Witch" is nothing like what is portrayed in movies or on Television. There is nothing flashy about it. we are fairly simple people with "abilities" that everyone has, ours are just honed and utilized. Lots of research and practice. There is a lot to learn when you are dealing with herbal, mineral and candle magick.
I read tarot cards, rune stones and utilize a number of other "fortune telling" tools but would NEVER charge anyone for anything I do! Besides, I do not do "readings" or "cast spells" for others on demand. That sounds more like a con game to me, a ruse!
We are not evil and do not worship the devil, but anyone who calls himself a warlock is a very misguided individual. It is a term that basically means oath breaker or traitor.
I believe that this is not my first life (nor the last) as a witch. I have always had a deep respect for nature and have an innate ability to communicate with animals. When I was very young my parents encouraged me to learn about all religions, so I did. Books are an excellent source, providing you get the right ones, there are some I would avoid particularly Ravenwolf. I prefer Scott Cunningham's "Wicca, a Guide for the Solitary Practitoner". If you are interested t is a good place to start.

Witches are real. Warlock is a made up word. Men are still called Witches.

Witches...yes. Warlocks...No. What's the difference? Witches can be male and female. Warlock is a term that means "oath breaker". It is sometimes considered an insult to male witches.

I believe they are real, just not in the personification that TV and movies have made them out to be. However, I do not believe that warlocks are real. I am a witch. I am a follower of the wiccan faith. I was taught that warlocks aren't real, but they aren't ficticious either, a male wiccan is a witch not a warlock, do to the fact that Wiccans believe that warlocks are only evil.

I dont know how to explain this without offending certain people.
I believe witches are mainly people who practice some form of earth magic(k) or folk magic.
I believe Warlock is in reference to mainly male ceremonial magickians who practice Goetic magick and Grimoires involving entities/daemons in their rituals.
Some text describe warlocks as not only male magickians but those who were also in social status and were leaders that would lead people to war,
An example of this was Vladmir Dracula. I read that not only was he involved in magick (besides being labeled a vampyre) but that he also had a high social standing and owned vasts amount of land and a mansion or castle or something. He would war against people and impale their bodies on stakes to show others his accomplishments and put fear into people.
This I was told was also a form of magick.
That was the best that i could explain it.

Much like gravity, they exist even if you don't believe in them.
However, the general rule of thumb is this: 50% of those who claim to be witches are deluded and socially inadept people who claim to have special powers in order to make themselves feel powerful. 30% are people who have gained a very little knowledge or power from a book they have read and think this qualifies them to call themselves a witch etc. And perhaps 20% of those who describe themselves as witches or magicians are the real thing. They are intensely powerful people. But they are quite rare. And if you have dealings with them, you'd best hope they are morally 'good' ones because the 'bad' ones can really carve you up.
But most are very nice.

Witches are real. Not sure about warlocks. I suppose that depends on their definition.

Yes of course.
Humanity has always been obsessed with secret knowledge and power. Witchcraft offers both to us in exchange for our souls. Its just a matter of calling up the right Daemons and forcing them to work for you. I will not go into this, I do not want to corrupt someone down the path of Magyk, but if you want to know how read something like the lesser key of solomen or some other grimore.

If you count scientists, doctors, and engineers. Because science is a form of magic. Over 200 years ago, a television or a computer would have been considered magic, just as fire was to the early cave man, until he learned how to use it.

Yes we exist and we have absolutely no desire to "harm Christians" or anyone else for that matter.
