My kids were all different...
1st one crawled at 7 months
2nd never crawled but walked at 10 months
3rd is now 6 months and scooting backwards but not crawling yet. I think it will be at least another month until he crawls.

It depends on their development. Mines started crawling between 6-8 months.

My son started the end of his 5th month but I think by 7-8 months they should be crawling. Some babies dont's crawl at all, babies' preferance.

My daughter just started crawling. She turned 8 months on February 8th. However, for the past 2-3 months she has tried to crawl but never had the balance for it. She would get in the crawling position and then just kind of flop down and then drag herself across the floor. But, she was definately motivated even if the gross motor skill wasn't quite developed! But my nephew did not crawl until he was about 10 months and then immediately after crawled he started to walk.
To help you baby crawl:
-encourage tummy play
-when they want something out of their reach, don't give it to them, "make them work for it" I know it sounds cruel but there has to be motivation for them to crawl
-when your boy/girl gets up on their knees and hands in the crawling position and they fall back down, don't show a negative reaction, it will instill fear and then he or she will never want to try to crawl again
also... I have a friend whose child never crawled... she went straighten from sitting up to eventually walking at about 13 months
Good Luck
