thank goodness he is not dead:
"Mr. Stevens is alive and well in Las Vegas enjoying all-star weekend and has not been the victim of any shooting or accident," said E-40's rep, attorney Zvi B. Edelman, after rumors began circulating this weekend of the Bay-area rapper's death.
In a statement sent to SOHH.com, Edelman confirms the rapper is well and urges supporters not to spread the rumor.
"I am writing to dispel any and all of the rumors currently circulating concerning the health and safety of Earl Stevens p/k/a E-40," said Edelman. "Mr. Stevens is alive and well in Los Vegas enjoying all-star weekend and has not been the victim of any shooting or accident. Sick Wid It Records, Chaz Hayes, and 40 Water thank all those who have expressed concern and kept 40 in their prayers and urge whoever is responsible for generating these outrageous rumors to contemplate the gravity of their actions and stop immediately."
Various rumors began to circulate this weekend that the rapper had died from causes ranging from a driveby shooting to "ghostriding" in his car. After the media began to circulate the rumor and the rapper began to receive urgent calls, a statement was released to E-40s Myspace page and to SOHH.com.
E-40 played a free Myspace Secret Show in Las Vegas today. The rapper's character will also appear in the upcoming videogame, Def Jam Icon.

I Have No Idea If He Died Or Not..I Had 2 Get Online And Check..But I Really Dont Believe Anything Until I See It On BET! But I Got A Tex Message Say R.I.P E-40 He Died In A Car Accident.

I dont think he died. My uncle said he got a call and it said that he died but i dont believe it until BET says it!!I hope E-40 didn't die because he was the MAN he use to make hype music and everything!!
