A publication date has not yet been announced.

"The third book of the Inheritance Trilogy by Christopher Paolini will be the last book of the series. It is the second sequel to Eragon and the sequel to Eldest. A title has been chosen but not released.
A few things have been confirmed by the author.
The content of the cover is one of the few things confirmed by Paolini. Apparently the cover will feature an emerald green dragon looking to the right.[1]
In March of 2006, Christopher Paolini was interviewed[2] by the fan site www.shurtugal.com where he revealed the following information:
When a dragon and Dragon Rider become linked, the Rider's magic immediately takes on the color of the dragon's scales. Paolini states that although Eragon's magic is blue, he could produce red fire if he wanted to.
At the end of Eldest, the Varden still favor Nasuada in terms of leadership, but Paolini has hinted that in book 3 this might change.
Paolini has said that it is possible that Eragon may have unknown family members that have not been introduced so far in the series, though he did not confirm this.
Paolini also mentioned that in book 3 it will be revealed if Saphira ever finds a mate.
More information about Tornac (Murtagh's old friend and trainer) will be revealed.
Elva, along with "every other character," will have an important role to play.
It is unclear how Thorn, Murtagh's dragon, matured to rival Saphira despite their age difference, but Christopher Paolini has stated that it will be revealed in the third book of the trilogy.[3]
At the Eragon movie's premiere, Christopher Paolini said that the third book has been named, but Knopf wishes to keep the name a secret until the time is right.[4]

Ok I know this sounds stupid, but you can never really predict when a book will come out. I mean authors have mad skills and all especially what's-his-face...Christopher Paolini...but they do have lives. Also considering Christopher's triliogy has been doing very well, he's probably involved in book signings, interviews, etc. Basically, I think it won't even come out until late 2007. Now I know you're thinking to yourself, OMG, it'll take forever! I don't blame you, but remember that sometimes authors get writer's block which can cause them to take awhile. Also remember the third book doesn't even have a name. If you are still axious, you can buy Eldest, which also has an exerpt from the new book.

Be patient (even though I can't be either)!
